AUSTRALIAN BUSHFIRE RELIEF

by Greater Los Angeles Zoo Association

Please consider contributing to the Los Angeles Zoo's Australian Bushfire Relief fund to help support rescue, relief, and recovery efforts Down Under.

Bushfires raging for the past six months have resulted in widespread devastation throughout Australia. “It is likely that more than a billion animals and more than 12 million acres of habitat have been lost to this continuing crisis,” says our Director of Conservation, Dr. Jake Owens. “The conservation impacts of this event will be substantial and long-term.”

This disaster highlights the critically important role that zoos play in global conservation efforts today and in the future. The L.A. Zoo is uniquely positioned to pull together the diverse resources of our local community and help Angelenos support our friends Down Under. Please consider contributing to our Australian Bushfire Relief fund to help support rescue, relief, and recovery efforts by Zoos Victoria, the Zoo and Aquarium Association Australasia, and other relief organizations. A donation of any amount is welcomed and appreciated.

Together, we can demonstrate both leadership and impact through the collective efforts of Angelenos—our voices are stronger together than they are apart. Help us help Australia by donating today.

All proceeds go toward benefiting Australian bushfire wildlife rescue, relief, and recovery.
